A Solo Ride to Bicol using my Kymco Xtown300i

Mar 20, 2022

Hey there, fellow adventurers! I’m thrilled to take you through the exciting tales of my first two days exploring the captivating Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and the enchanting Bicol Region. Strap in and let’s dive into the action!

Day 1: Bagasbas and the Cory Aquino Boulevard

I touched down in Bagasbas at around 5 pm, a place brimming with promise and adventure. For my night’s stay, I opted for the cozy embrace of Catherine’s Bagasbas Lighthouse Hotel and Resort. Let me tell you, folks, the room was spacious, boasting a price tag of P2650, and it came with all the creature comforts one could wish for. Oh, and let’s not forget the delicious food that graced my taste buds.

After a restful night’s sleep, it was time to kick off Day 2. I checked out of Catherine’s and decided to grab breakfast at Hoogpaan, a charming cafe/restaurant nearby. However, Mother Nature had other plans. A heavy downpour decided to make an appearance, forcing me to extend my stay a tad longer.

Day 2: Exploring Naga and Legazpi

By around 10:30 am, I bid farewell to Daet and hit the road. My next destination was Naga, and I arrived there at approximately 12:30 pm. Porta Mariae, a historic spot, beckoned me for some photo opportunities.

Around 2:30 pm, my stomach started to grumble, and I made a pitstop at Bigg’s Diner in Pili, Camarines Sur, for a delightful lunch.

As the clock neared 5:30 pm, I found myself in the vibrant city of Legazpi. My accommodation for the night was Anchorage Apartelle, where I checked in and prepared for a night ride through the city. Despite a little rain, I was undeterred. I ventured out to Legazpi Blvd, hunting for a place to sate my hunger. And guess what? Even in the late hours, I stumbled upon an open restaurant where I could relish a hearty dinner.

With a satisfied stomach, I retreated to the comfort of Apartelle to rest up. Tomorrow promised an even longer ride, as I set my sights on the breathtaking Calilayan Cove in Unisan, Quezon.

But here’s the kicker, folks! If you want to experience these adventures firsthand, you’re in luck.
